East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar is opening Kick Off Gebyar Taman Benyamin Sueb on the yard of ex-Kodim 0505 Headquarter building, East Jakarta, Sunday (9/16). It is held for a week or up to September 22, 2018.

He stated that the event is filled with entertainment parade and OK OCE products exhibition. It is a means of coaching and creativity for citizens in the field of cultural arts.

"In future this building will be full of Betawi arts and culture activities. Collaboration with related units thus the building can be used optimally in preserving cultural arts," he stated.

While, East Jakarta Tourism and Culture Sub-dept. Head, Henry Wardhana added that the Taman Benyamin Sueb will be a center of care and development of Betawi culture.

It will also be used as a cross-community interaction center in which there is a museum of Betawi culture. It is stated in Gubernatorial Decree No. 1156/2018.

"This building becomes a ride and media for children to develop cultural arts in Jakarta, including the archipelago," he stated.

As planned, on September 22, Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan is about to sign the inscription and receive a gift from the deceased Benyamin Sueb from the family.
